نوار LED یک مدار مدور است که تراشه‌های LED به آن متصل شده است و می‌توان آن را در فواصل چند سانتی متری از هم جدا کرد. تراشه‌ها نقاط نوری هستند که در فاصله‌ای چند سانتی‌متری از هم قرار می‌گیرند. ریسه LED RGB مدل 5050 از دسته LED های فوق کم مصرف SMD ساخته شده است که چندین و چند رنگ قابل کنترل را در اختیار کاربر قرار می‌دهد. این نوار چراغ‌ها با تراکم تعداد 60 ال ای دی در هر متر از نوار با اندازه تراشه مانند 5050 تولید شده است و به همین دلیل دارای سطح نوردهی مختلفی است.

مهم ترین چیز در این نوار LED، حضور یک سطح بالایی از حفاظت است که نوار روشنایی را به خوبی در برابر ورود گرد و غبار امان نگه می دارد.
