کابل نئون یک نوع سیم می باشد که دارای ساختار لامپ کم مصرف است. این نوع سیم از جنس پلاستیک و قابلیت انعطاف پذیری را دارد.
داخل ان کابل ها، لایه ای از فسفر وجود دارد و از طریق ترانسی کوچک، برق با ولتاژ بالا را در سرتاسر نوار به صورت یکنواخت تقسیم می کند. به دلیل پخش نور به صورت یکنواخت در این کابل ها، می توان آن ها را در کاربردهای متعددی استفاده کرد. علیرغم نامیدن این کابل ها به اسم فلکسی نئون، باید توجه داشت که عملکرد ساختار این کابل ها بر اساس فسفر نورانی می باشد و با لامپ های نئون متفاوت می باشد.
این نوارها دارای لبه می باشند و برای تزیین قسمت های داخلی ماشین مناسب می باشد.
توجه داشته باشید به ازای استفاده در متراژ بالا، حتما از ترانس های دیگری استفاده کنید تا مقدار نور کابل ثابت و یکنواخت بماند.این کابل ها دارای توان مصرفی پایینی هستند و هیچ گونه آلودگی محیطی ندارند.

توجه:
1. این کابل ها مقاوم به آب هستند نه ضد آب، بنابراین از کاربرد آنها درون آب خودداری کنید. علیرغم جنس پلاستیک این کابل ها، در صورت تماس با محیط مرطوب به مدت طولانی، رطوبت را جذب و رنگ کابل تیره خواهد شد.
2. بهتر است در محل اتصال درایور با کابل از Heat Shrink Tube استفاده شود.
3. از خم کردن و پیچاندن بیش از اندازه کابل خودداری کنید.

Description:
Electroluminescent wire (often abbreviated as EL wire) is a thin copper wire coated in a phosphor that produces light through electroluminescence when an alternating current is applied to it. It can be used in a wide variety of applications vehicle and structure decoration, safety, and emergency lighting, toys, clothing, etc. Much as rope light or Christmas lights are often used. Unlike these types of strand lights, EL wire is not a series of points but produces a 360-degree unbroken line of visible light. Its thin diameter makes it flexible and ideal for use in a variety of applications such as clothing or costumes.
EL Wire is very flexible. It can be looped, bent, and knotted loosely. Care must be taken to not be too rough with the wire as the transmitter wires inside can be broken causing the wire to be dead from the point of the break on. If the wire is bent excessively in one place or rubbed against frequently the phosphorus coating may begin to break up causing dark spots in the wire. We recommend looping the wire no more tightly than you would wrap around a pencil.
EL WIRE is water-resistant but should not be submerged in water or be used in high humidity applications. Although the casing is plastic, after long periods of time water can be absorbed into the wire causing it to turn black. The drivers/power supplies are NOT waterproof. Extreme caution should be used when using near water or splash. You could, however, slide the clear heat shrink tubing over the EL Wire for waterproof applications.
By arranging each strand of EL wire into a shape slightly different from the previous one, it is possible to create animations using EL wire sequencers. EL wire sequencers are also used for costumes and have been used to create animations on various items such as kimonos, purses, neckties, and motorcycle tanks. They are increasingly popular among artists, dancers, maker culture, and similar creative communities.
